life is but a game.
and yet, it's probably the most fun game you'll ever get to play.
but that's only if you make it fun.
what makes this game fun?
the rules are for you to decide.
the story is told by you.
and you can control the characters.
it might not seem this way to you.
'i have to go to school because my parents say so.'
'i have to go to work to earn money for my family.'
maybe it's something like that.
but those are merely the settings for your game.
every game needs a base, something for us to build on.
what we don't notice sometimes,
are the many other things we can do to change this game.
instead of complaining about it,
why not use this base and start creating your game?
who cares if i got a rubbish dump,
because throughout this game, i'm going to change it,
and design my very own castle in its place.
give me a piece of empty land,
and i'll travel far and wide to find water and seeds,
then return to plant my very own forest.
palaces, mansions, bungalows,
or just a simple one-room unit.
forest, grassland, desert,
sun or rain, perhaps even snow.
with our abilities and talents,
the help of our loved ones,
and the courage and determination to succeed.
let's create a new game,
and our very own world to step into.

失望是避免不了的
especially if you don't even work hard for anything.
perhaps, if you try to change, just by a little bit everyday, you'll get there. you'll get to your goal in the end.
so the question now is, are you even trying?
crying because of failure can't save you. it's useless, a complete waste of time and energy.
instead of breaking down, instead of running away, why not face up to it?
i'll be there to help you whenever you need me.
just remember that before you reach your goal, you need to take the first step there.
you can hold on to me if you think you might fall, but in the end, only you can decide to take that first step towards your goals.
i can help you, but can you help yourself? otherwise, everything would be pointless.
go on, take that step.
and then, slowly, take another step.
just like that, step after step, keep on going.
and know that i'll always be walking beside you.

not much time to add on to my profile too much, so i'll leave it at that for now. will update my profile and wishlist the next time.
as the first post in this blog, i would like to share a quote.

perhaps that is where my blog title originated from. honestly, i have no idea. apart from that, this quote means a lot to me right now. it's value might drop over the years, but that's beside the point.
